Inclusion & Anti-Discrimination Policy
Everyone is welcome at Sexpo
Sexpo is an adults-only event for people aged 18 and over. We believe adults should be free to explore, discuss and celebrate sexuality, relationships and adult lifestyles in an environment that is welcoming, respectful and inclusive.
We do not discriminate against people because of who they are, who they love, how they identify or how they choose to express their sexuality.
Sexpo welcomes people of all backgrounds, including all genders, sexual orientations, relationship styles, cultural backgrounds, abilities, body types and personal identities.
We welcome discussion and representation of diverse sexual interests, lifestyles, relationship structures and practices, provided they are legal and consensual.
Respect for everyone
Sexpo expects all attendees, exhibitors, performers, contractors, staff and other participants to treat one another with respect.
Discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, victimisation or unwelcome sexual behaviour will not be tolerated.
This includes behaviour based on a person’s:
- Gender or gender identity
- Sexual orientation
- Race, ethnicity or cultural background
- Religion or belief
- Disability or physical ability
- Age (provided they are 18 or over)
- Body shape or appearance
- Relationship status or relationship structure
- Sexual preferences or interests
- Any other characteristic protected by Australian law
Consent is essential
Sexpo is an adult environment, but being at an adult event does not mean that consent is automatic.
All sexual interaction must be consensual. A person’s attendance, clothing, appearance, occupation, sexual interests or participation in the event should never be interpreted as consent to sexual attention or contact.
No means no. Silence or lack of resistance is not consent.
Legal boundaries
Sexpo celebrates diversity and open-mindedness, but we operate within Australian law.
We do not support or permit illegal sexual activity, exploitation, abuse, non-consensual activity or any other unlawful behaviour.
Our commitment to inclusion does not extend to behaviour that harms others, breaches consent or is unlawful.
Creating a safe environment
If you experience or witness discrimination, harassment or inappropriate behaviour at Sexpo, we encourage you to report it to a member of Sexpo staff or security.
Reports will be taken seriously and, wherever reasonably possible, handled respectfully and confidentially.
Sexpo reserves the right to remove any person from the event whose behaviour breaches this policy or threatens the safety, dignity or enjoyment of others.
Our commitment
Sexpo exists to provide a place where adults can explore, learn, connect and have fun without fear of judgement.
We may not all share the same interests, identities or lifestyles – and that’s precisely the point.
Be yourself. Respect others. Get consent. Stay legal. Enjoy Sexpo.
